Is Driving In F1 All About Talent?

Justin Elliott, who writes in this month's Evo Magazine's Soapbox column, thinks it's not. But he doesn't really seem to think it's about money (the other logical essential to becoming an F1 driver) either; no, Justin gets upset when the 'press' lavish what he considers unfair praise on drivers such as Lewis Hamilton, who are in his opinion merely the best of a small bunch available.

The Scuderia Ferrari F1 2008 Championship Defenders.

Ferrari return to the grid in 2008 ready to defend their double championship wins from 2007. Retaining Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa as drivers, the big staff change happens on the pit wall, with Jean Todt stepping aside to go on to a Ferrari senior executive role, letting Stefano Domenicali take the reins as Team Principal. Stefano has been with Ferrari since the early 90s and has been Sporting Director since 2002, but sitting on that wall will be his biggest challenge yet.
