FIA In 'Logic' Shocker!

By Team Principal on Wed May 30 2007

The FIA have cleared McLaren of any wrongdoing at the Monaco Grand Prix, leaving fans of the team free to bask in the glory of an almost unchallenged 1-2 finish.  By all accounts, it seems as if the investigation was due to excessive coverage of Mr Dennis's remarks by the British Press, who seemed to think that Ron denied Hamilton of his first win.

More Than A Slap On The Wrist For McLaren Coming Up.

By Team Principal on Wed May 30 2007

The FIA continue their investigation of McLaren's supposed rule-breaking team orders and are preparing to give their verdict sometime Wednesday afternoon.   According to Bernie Ecclestone, if the team are found to have breached the sports rules, then a financial punsihment would do nothing to deter them and the team should either be docked points or excluded from the championship.

F1 2007 Monaco Grand Prix Race Reaction

By Team Principal on Mon May 28 2007

Monaco can produce some stunning races, of which the 2007 race was not one.  At the front, the action was all over as they rounded the first corner and the two McLaren's began building a gap of several hours between themselves and the 'chasing' Ferrari of Massa.  Even Raikkonen, who started way down the grid after his qualifying mistake seemed to give it up as a lost cause when he got stuck behind Jenson Button.  He made his passes at the start anyway.

F1 2007 Monaco Grand Prix Qualifying.

By Team Principal on Sat May 26 2007

Rookies, always making mistakes. This old cliche wasn't needed today, as it was the old hands who looked like first-timers out on the streets of Monaco. Although DC's blocking of Kovalainen was mainly due to a systems failure meaning the Scot didn't know the Renault was on a hot lap, he was still penalised, but nowhere near as severely as the biggest loser: Kimi.

F1 2007 Spanish Grand Prix Race.

By Team Principal on Sun May 13 2007

Who should we be talking about here?  The first properly exciting race of the season, the first proper incident that could change the way this Championship is heading, Felipe's fabulous drive, DC's fight-to-the-end, Kimi's early bath, Alonso's podium face or Hamilton becoming the youngest driver to lead a World Championship?  None, actually, well at least not yet.  Firstly we shall talk about Takuma Sato and Super Aguri.

Two New 2008 Races Confirmed.

By Team Principal on Fri May 11 2007

Almost in answer to my complaints (OK, perhaps not really), there have been two new additions for the 2008 calendar this week, and what races they should be! First up was the announcement that Spain would be hosting two races in the coming year, the usual at Barcelona plus the unveiling of a new street based circuit in Valencia. Although no plans have been released, the track is supposed to take in much of the city and the harbour, so it should rival Monaco for visual excitement - hopefully it will ace the old faithful in track-action though.

F1: Remember?

By Team Principal on Tue May 8 2007

Vague recollections of 20 or so cars jostling for position around a race track seem to have crept into my mind this week.  I was confused as to why these memories were so vivid, as surely, the season has ended and it's probably October or something.  But no, the bright sun and hot temperatures outside have convinced me that it is nearly summer, meaning the F1 season should be in full swing; so where is it?
